We draw your attention to the sequence of events that resulted in the suspension of the Project Director, MEPMA, Krishna District and Municipal Commisoner of Vuyyuru Municipality, Andhra Pradesh.

Dumping of garbages at the entrances of the Public Sector Banks were reported at several places in and around of Vuyyuru Municipality. It was understood that such inhuman and indecent act was undertaken by the Municipality officials at the orders of the Municipal Commissioner for the reason that he was unhappy with the way Banks' staff were reviewing the loan applications under the relevant social scheme of the Govt.
Upon receiving alerts about the incident from our members, WeBankers swung into action and put up the matter for the immediate intervention of the Finance Minister, Shri. Nirmala Sitharaman as well as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Shri. Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy through Twitter.
WeBankers shot up an open letter addressed to the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh in which we made it clear that Bankers will continue to review the loan applications under any schemes as per the rule book only. We demanded immediate action to bring to book, the hands behind the incident.
The honourable Finance Minister was concernd enough on the matter that she tweeted that that she had given necessary direction to the official concerned to look into the incident.Today it is understood that the project director and municipal commissioner is suspended and further inquiry is underway.
We would like to congratulate the entire banking fraternity for voicing out in unison against the hooliganism of the govt officials.
